Leicester City put up for sale by King Power
Leicester City has been put up for sale by its Thai owners, King Power, marking the end of a 16-year ownership period. The sale process, titled ‘Project Lineup’, is being managed by the US investment bank Citigroup.
The sale package includes the men’s and women’s teams, the 32,000-capacity King Power Stadium, the Seagrave training facility, and the Belgian sister club OH Leuven. While the physical assets are valued at over £200 million, a final asking price for the entire club has not been set.
The move follows a period of significant decline for the club, which includes successive relegations from the Premier League and the Championship, leaving them in League One. Financial challenges are also prominent, with reports indicating accumulated losses exceeding £180 million and bank debts of approximately £103.6 million as of 2025.
