Leicester City rejects Torino's €7 million bid for defender Ben Nelson

Leicester City have turned down an offer from Serie A side Torino for 22‑year‑old centre‑back Ben Nelson. The English club, now preparing for life in League One after consecutive relegations, said the bid – reported to be around €7 million – does not meet their valuation. Nelson, who has one year remaining on a contract that runs to 2027, rejected a new deal and expressed a desire to leave. Torino have been linked with the defender since June, and other clubs, including Manchester United, have also shown interest.

Nelson, a home‑grown player who progressed through Leicester’s academy, made his senior debut in 2023 and featured in the club’s recent Championship‑winning campaign before their drop to League One. The Foxes are expected to cash in on him as part of a broader summer rebuilding effort aimed at stabilising the club’s finances after the relegations.
