Leicester Lions claim Premiership Knockout Cup, defeating Ipswich Witches

Leicester Lions secured the Premiership Knockout Cup by beating the Ipswich Witches 95-85 on aggregate. After a 45-45 draw in the first leg at Foxhall, the Lions won the second leg 50-40 at Leicester. Polish rider Tobiasz Musielak led the Witches with 13 points, while Drew Kempton contributed 10 points. Ipswich manager Paul Hurry said the team struggled with slow starts over both legs, costing them the trophy.

The victory caps a season in which the Lions remained unbeaten at home. Ipswich look ahead to a home match against Northampton in the Rowe Motor Oil Premiership, with planned changes to their riding order for August.
