Leiden celebrates fourth Pride with boat parade and 50,000 visitors

The fourth edition of Pride Leiden took place in the city center, drawing approximately 50,000 visitors. The event featured a colorful boat parade through the city's canals, consisting of more than fifty decorated vessels.

Participants included various organizations such as the LUMC hospital, GGZ Rivierduinen, and educational institutions like MBO Rijnland. The parade, which began around 14:00, was accompanied by music and attracted crowds along the canal banks. Local broadcasters provided live coverage of the festivities, including interviews with organizers and the announcement of winners for the most beautiful Pride boats.
