Leila do Vôlei calls for education priority in Distrito Federal

Senator Leila do Vôlei (PDT) has called for education to be a top priority for the next government of the Distrito Federal. During the ‘Arrastão pela Educação’ event in Ceilândia, she criticized the decline in the Basic Education Development Index (Ideb) and argued that the region needs to reinvest in public policies to create opportunities for younger generations.

Leila emphasized that education is a fundamental tool for reducing inequalities. The mobilization, organized by educator and federal deputy candidate Rafael Parente, aimed to place educational quality at the center of the 2026 electoral debate.
