Leila Ouahabi joins Chicago Stars; Mary Earps signs with London City Lionesses
Spanish defender Leila Ouahabi signed a three‑year contract with the NWSL side Chicago Stars, moving on a free transfer from Manchester City after a four‑season spell that produced a WSL title and a FA Cup win. The 33‑year‑old left‑back arrives with 66 caps for Spain and a trophy haul that includes a Champions League medal, multiple league titles and domestic cups earned during earlier stints at Barcelona and Valencia.
England goalkeeper Mary Earps agreed to a two‑year deal with the London City Lionesses, leaving Paris Saint‑Germain on 1 July 2026. The 33‑year‑old retired from international duty in 2025 after 53 caps and a Euro 2022 triumph. Earps previously kept goal for Manchester United, VfL Wolfsburg and other clubs, earning two FIFA Best Goalkeeper awards and a World Cup Golden Glove. Both signings are aimed at strengthening their new clubs' defenses ahead of the 2026‑27 season.
