Leinster and Munster to meet in Women’s Interprovincial final
Leinster and Munster will face each other in the Vodafone Women’s Interprovincial Championship final next Saturday following dominant performances in the final round of the group stage.
Leinster secured their place in the final with a 75-5 victory over Ulster. Robyn O’Connor scored five tries, while Katie Whelan recorded a hat-trick. Ellie O’Sullivan Sexton contributed 20 points through 10 conversions. In the U18 Girls Interprovincial Championship, Leinster also defeated Ulster 39-27 in a high-scoring match featuring 12 total tries.
Munster completed an unbeaten group stage with a 47-12 win against Connacht. Alana McInerney scored a hat-trick, and Alisha Flynn scored twice. This result sets up the fourth consecutive Munster-Leinster final. The championship final will be held at Dexcom Stadium, preceded by a third-place play-off between Connacht and Ulster.
