Leinster Rugby defeats Munster in Aviva Stadium derby

Leinster Rugby secured a 24-18 bonus point victory against Munster Rugby at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin. Despite trailing 13-5 at halftime, the reigning champions managed a second-half turnaround to win the Irish interpro derby in front of 37,193 spectators.

Leinster captain Dan Sheehan noted that the team required a halftime “reality check” to address issues at the breakdown and counter Munster’s performance, specifically citing Tadhg Beirne’s impact. Jamison Gibson-Park was named Player of the Match following his first outing of the season.

Munster coach Clayton McMillan expressed disappointment with the loss, stating the team did not arrive with the intention of losing.
