Leipzig announces 2026 European Mobility Week program

The program for the 2026 European Mobility Week in Leipzig has been released, featuring over 60 events designed to promote sustainable mobility and innovative transport solutions. The schedule is available digitally via the city's website and the Leipzig app.

Pre-program activities begin on August 28, 2026, with a cycling night and a demonstration for safer bicycle traffic. Other scheduled highlights include a mobile pumptrack at Wilhelm-Leuschner-Platz from September 3 to 23, and a corporate forum on September 16 focused on the future of moving people and goods. The official city kickoff will take place on September 17 at Nathanaelkirchplatz.

An initiative of the European Commission, the annual campaign aims to introduce sustainable mobility to people across Europe. In Leipzig, the event involves the city administration, local transport companies, and various community initiatives and associations.
