Leipzig develops new residential quarter at Kohlenstraße

In Leipzig, a new residential development is underway at Kohlenstraße in the Südvorstadt district. Stadtbau Wohnprojekte GmbH is constructing 154 apartments across three new buildings on a site measuring approximately 6,437 square meters.

This project serves as an initial component of a larger urban quarter planned for the Bayerischer Bahnhof area, which is expected to eventually include around 1,600 apartments. Construction schedules indicate that buildings B and C are slated for completion by the end of 2026, while building A is expected to be finished by the end of 2027. The housing units will range from one-room apartments to penthouses.
