Leipzig protests planned against AfD event at Alte Handelsbörse

Protests are being organized in Leipzig against a planned event by the AfD parliamentary group at the Alte Handelsbörse. The event is scheduled to feature AfD state parliamentary members Holger Hentschel and Jörg Urban.

The Stadtgeschichtliche Museum, which operates the historic building, stated it cannot refuse the event due to municipal dedication statutes. In response, groups such as ‘Omas gegen Rechts’ have called for a special vigil at the Naschmarkt to demonstrate against the presence of the far-right party.
