Leipzig Run 2026 to feature road closures and race routes

The Leipzig Run 2026 is scheduled for October 11, 2026, with the start and finish areas located at the Völkerschlachtdenkmal and Straße des 18. Oktober.

The event features two main routes: a 10-kilometer course passing through Prager Straße, Dösner Straße, and the Lößnig-Dölitz recreation park, and a 21-kilometer half-marathon route that travels through Wachau and along the eastern shore of Markkleeberger See.

Traffic measures will begin at 6:00 AM, with full road closures implemented by 8:45 AM. Diversions will be in place for parts of Prager Straße via Semmelweisstraße and Zwickauer Straße. Authorities have requested that motorists adhere to parking prohibitions and follow instructions from police and security personnel to ensure safety and maintain necessary passage widths.
