Leipzig's Hydrogen‑Scout guides firms into emerging green‑tech network

Leipzig is advancing a central hydrogen core network that is expected to reach the city by mid‑2027, forming a key pillar of the region’s GreenTech and hydrogen ecosystem in central Germany. The municipal Hydrogen‑Scout, developed with the HYPOS network, assists companies in evaluating hydrogen applications, identifying funding programmes, and connecting with partners in industry, research and administration.

HYPOS also offers tools such as the HYPOS‑Compass, a structured entry guide, and promotes participation in the 1st East German Hydrogen Congress scheduled for 26 August 2026 in Dresden, which will bring together businesses, scientists and policymakers. As Jaehne explains, “Our role is to give orientation. Often a first conversation helps clarify the next steps and find suitable contacts.”
