Leire Martínez defends Amaia Montero against body shaming

During the Cadena 100 'Por Ellas' solidarity concert in Madrid, former La Oreja de Van Gogh singer Leire Martínez spoke out in defense of Amaia Montero following recent public criticism regarding Montero's physical appearance.

Martínez addressed the issue of body shaming, describing it as “terribly unjust and terribly painful.” She noted that such scrutiny is disproportionately directed at women and suggested that society needs to re-evaluate these behaviors.

Additionally, Martínez addressed rumors regarding a potential rift between her and her former bandmates. She clarified that there is no conflict, stating that she is no longer part of the group and that everyone is doing well while the band continues its current tour.
