Leiria and Porto polytechnics transition to university status

The Polytechnic Institutes of Leiria and Porto are undergoing a structural transformation into the University of Leiria (ULO) and the Technical University of Porto (UTP), respectively.

Following this transition, both institutions have been placed under an installation regime for a five-year period. The Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation has published the provisional statutes governing this process.
