Lektirići ex yu fest celebrates 15th anniversary with regional theater performances

The 15th anniversary of the ‘Lektirići ex yu fest’ theater festival for children and youth is set to begin on September 14. The event will feature 12 performances from ensembles representing Serbia, North Macedonia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This year, the festival is expanding its reach beyond Prokuplje to include Niš, through collaborations with the ‘Dušan Radović’ Primary School and the Academic Theater SKC Niš. The program aims to bring literary works to life through play and includes educational workshops led by professional actors to allow young participants to engage directly with the theatrical process.

The festival will be evaluated by two juries: a professional jury and a children's jury. The event is held under the patronage of the City of Prokuplje and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia, concluding on October 30.
