Lembaga Tabung Haji restores main systems after cyber attack

Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) has resumed its main systems and services following a cyber attack that occurred on October 8. The restoration follows comprehensive security inspections, strengthened controls, and system recovery measures.

While most branches, including those in Kedah, Terengganu, and Kelantan, have returned to normal operations, certain functions within the THiJARI application remain unavailable. Specifically, password resets, new user registrations, and online account openings require further recovery actions before they can be reactivated.

TH stated that the temporary suspension of services was a measure to protect depositors' savings and personal information. The organization has filed a police report and notified the National Cyber Security Agency (NACSA) and the Department of Personal Data Protection (JPDP). TH is working with external experts and national cybersecurity authorities to investigate the criminal act and has assured depositors that all savings remain secure.
