Maringá medical student arrested after dragging motorcyclist

A medical student, Vitor Hugo, was arrested in Maringá after a violent collision involving a car and a motorcycle. The victim, 38-year-old delivery rider Rodolfo Rodrigo Notário, suffered multiple fractures and traumatic brain injury.

According to reports, the car struck the motorcycle from behind on Rua Mem de Sá. Following the impact, the driver continued driving, dragging the motorcycle for approximately 60 to 600 meters. The victim suffered a cardiac arrest at the scene and required resuscitation by emergency medical services before being transported to Santa Casa de Maringá in critical condition.

A witness intercepted the vehicle and turned the driver over to authorities. The driver reportedly refused a breathalyzer test, leading to a report of altered psychomotor capacity.
