Lemon identified as healthiest fruit in new study

A study published in the journal Preventic Chronic Disease has identified the lemon as the healthiest fruit in its category. Researchers analyzed 47 different foods based on their vitamin, fiber, calorie, and sugar content.

Lemons are noted for being rich in vitamin C, soluble fibers, and flavonoids. These components support collagen production for skin and joint health, help stabilize blood sugar, and may assist in lowering blood pressure and cholesterol. Additionally, the fruit's acidic nature provides an alkalizing effect once metabolized, which can benefit digestion and intestinal health.
