León and Carbajosa de la Sagrada announce new municipal programs

The City Council of León has announced a new season for its Municipal Sports Schools, offering 26 different disciplines. The program aims to reach approximately 6,000 students with activities ranging from collective sports like basketball, football, and rugby to individual disciplines such as chess, athletics, and archery. It also includes specialized options like adapted swimming and pre-sport activities for younger children.

A key feature of this edition is a focus on minor protection. A free workshop on bullying in sports, led by LALIGA professionals, will be held on October 15 at the Palacio del Conde Luna to provide educators and coaches with tools to detect and address abuse. Registrations open on September 21.

In Carbajosa de la Sagrada, the local government is organizing activities for European Mobility Week under the theme ‘Mobility for all’. The program focuses on sustainable mobility and safe use of public spaces. Scheduled events include a school passport program to encourage walking to school, a road safety circuit using pedal karts for primary students, and a mobility fair at the municipal fairgrounds.
