León Cathedral restores International Autumn Organ Festival

The city of León is relaunching its International Autumn Organ Festival, marking the second edition of this cultural initiative following a seven-year hiatus. The festival is scheduled to run from September 25 to November 13, with concerts held every Friday at 20:00 at the León Cathedral.

Local officials, including Culture Councilor Elena Aguado and Cathedral Dean Florentino Alonso, presented the program, which aims to establish the festival as a permanent fixture on the city's cultural agenda. The event seeks to transition from the legacy of the former Association of Friends of the Organ into a new, consolidated stage for musical excellence.

The upcoming cycle will feature eight concerts performed by prominent international organists. Organist Carlos Fernández Bollo noted that previous editions saw strong public engagement, with attendance typically ranging between 700 and 800 people per recital.
