León hosts Circuito Cervantino cultural performances

The Circuito Cervantino has commenced its scheduled performances in León, Mexico, featuring a diverse array of national and international productions.

Initial showcases included ‘Qwerin’, a Welsh dance performance by choreographer Osian Meilir that integrated traditional Welsh elements with queer identity. Additionally, the production ‘Existen muchas formas de llegar a la costa’ by La Compañía Opcional was presented at the Universidad La Salle Bajío. This documentary-style play explores the impact of mass tourism on coastal communities and ecosystems in Nayarit.

The festival's upcoming programming includes contributions from France, Spain, Portugal, South Korea, and Mexico, with performances ranging from contemporary dance to flamenco ballet.
