León hosts traditional Tuna competition and music school recital

The city of León is hosting several musical events, including a traditional Tuna competition and a vocal recital by music school students.

The Certamen de Tunas, organized by the University of León Tuna, will feature seven musical groups. The event includes a parade starting from the Palacio de los Guzmanes to the Plaza de San Isidoro, followed by a main performance at the Auditorio Ciudad de León. This competition continues a tradition in the city that dates back several decades.

Additionally, students from the León Music School held a vocal recital at the Museo de la Ciudad. Coordinated by instructors Carolina Herrera and Edna Valles, the recital allowed students to perform various classical and musical theater pieces, including works by Mozart and Massenet, to gain experience performing before a live audience.
