León II neighborhood shooting leaves man dead

A man known as “El Güero” was shot and killed on Saturday afternoon in the León II neighborhood of León, Guanajuato. The victim, who reportedly worked as a car washer, was targeted at the intersection of Atanacio Hernández and Buenaventura Armengo streets.

Witnesses reported that the attackers arrived on a motorcycle without license plates. One individual dismounted and fired seven shots at the victim's face before fleeing the scene with an accomplice. Emergency services and paramedics arrived at the location, but they confirmed the man had already passed away.

Municipal police cordoned off the area, and investigators from the State Attorney General's Office (Fiscalía General del Estado) collected evidence, including shell casings, to determine the motive behind the attack. The body was transferred to the Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy.
