León speed cameras issue over 36,000 fines in 2025
Two speed cameras in the province of León recorded over 36,000 speeding violations in 2025, according to a report by Automovilistas Europeos Asociados (AEA). The devices located on the A-66 (kilometer 160) and the A-6 (kilometer 347) are among the 50 most active speed cameras in Spain.
The A-66 radar near Ardón and Valdevimbre was the most active, issuing 22,298 fines, representing an increase of more than 10% compared to the previous year. The A-6 radar at the Manzanal pass recorded 14,143 violations, a slight decrease from 2024.
Traffic fines in León generated 9.48 million euros in revenue during 2025, a 3.03% increase from the prior year. Of this total, 4.78 million euros were collected specifically from speeding penalties.
