Lena Philipson appointed new editor-in-chief of Sydsvenskan

Lena Philipson has been appointed as the new editor-in-chief of Sydsvenskan. She will take over the role in late September, succeeding Jonas Kanje, who is stepping down to become the Public Media Ombudsman (MO).

Philipson, who currently serves as the editor-in-chief of Skånska Dagbladet, was selected by Bonnier News Local. She expressed enthusiasm for the role, stating that Sydsvenskan is a leader in Sweden and that she aims to strengthen its position as a key publication for the Malmö-Lund region.
