Lendava hosts Bogračfest 2026 culinary festival

Lendava hosted Bogračfest 2026, Slovenia’s largest culinary festival, as part of the broader Festival Vinarium 2026. The event transformed the old town center into a vibrant festival venue, featuring 124 cooking stations where teams prepared the traditional dish, bograč.

Participating teams traveled from Slovenia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, and Slovakia. The competition included 97 samples, resulting in 25 gold awards. The winning team was Bači-ke, followed by Guinness bograč in second place and PGD Lendava in third.

The festivities included music, street performers, a drone show, and a concert by Dražen Zečić. Local officials, including Mayor Janez Magyar and President of the National Assembly Zoran Stevanović, attended the opening ceremony, which was marked by the sounding of three sirens.
