Leninova Street Reconstruction Nears Completion in Center Municipality

The reconstruction of Leninova Street in the Center municipality has entered its penultimate phase. A new asphalt layer has been laid on the circular traffic island at the Orce Nikolov intersection, and a second asphalt layer is being applied along a 412‑metre stretch from Partizanski odredi boulevard to the Ilinden Street junction. New pedestrian pathways totaling 825 metres have been built on both sides of the street, while drainage wells and street‑light networks have been upgraded. The project, which began in April, also includes the planting of additional urban greenery and the renewal of lighting. Mayor Goran Gerasimovski said the work completes the upgrade of one of the municipality’s key traffic arteries, improving safety for pedestrians, cyclists and drivers.

The first phase, covering the section from Partizanski odredi to the “Club of the Messengers,” was finished in 2023, and the current works continue to remodel the remaining 600‑plus metres up to the Ministry of Agriculture building.
