Lennart Karl returns to action for FC Bayern München

Lennart Karl has made his return to professional football following a difficult summer marked by a significant injury. The 18-year-old FC Bayern Munich player participated in the opening match of the 64th Bundesliga season, appearing briefly during Bayern's 5-1 victory against VfB Stuttgart.

Karl missed the World Cup after sustaining a thigh injury during national team training in Chicago. He described the recovery process as both mentally and physically challenging, noting that the setback was a major blow to his young career.

While Karl stated he is currently at approximately 90 percent fitness, he expressed a strong ambition to return to the German national team as soon as possible. He aims to be included in upcoming squad selections for the Nations League matches against the Netherlands, Serbia, and Greece.
