Lenny Kravitz representatives deny death rumors following Florida plane crash
Representatives for musician Lenny Kravitz have issued a formal denial following viral social media rumors claiming the rock star was killed in a private jet crash in Florida. Carleen Donovan, a spokesperson for Kravitz, stated that the reports linking the artist to the accident were “untrue and incorrect.”
The rumors originated from a misinterpreted social media post by pilot Emily Shelton, which mentioned an upcoming flight for Kravitz from Austin, Texas, to the Bahamas. Users on platforms like X erroneously connected this post to a Learjet 60 that crashed in Palm Beach County on November 1.
While the crash was a real tragedy that claimed the lives of all nine people on board, including pilot Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras and several members of a Texas family, Kravitz was not among the victims. Shelton also used TikTok to clarify that she was not the pilot of the crashed aircraft and urged the public to stop spreading misinformation regarding the tragedy.
