Leno police seize uninsured ambulance

Local police in Leno, Italy, have seized an ambulance belonging to a private company based in Milan after discovering it was operating without valid insurance. The vehicle, which was used to transport patients to hospitals in the Brescia area, was intercepted during routine traffic checks. Authorities noted the sensitivity of the situation, as the ambulance had completed a patient transport just minutes before being stopped.

Under the Italian Highway Code, civil liability insurance is mandatory for vehicles used in medical services. Consequently, the vehicle's circulation was immediately halted, and its documents were seized.
