Lenovo and Motorola expand Qira personal AI ecosystem

Lenovo and Motorola are expanding their Qira personal AI ecosystem across a variety of devices, including PCs, smartphones, and smartwatches. Announced at IFA 2026, the system aims to provide consistent AI assistance across different hardware platforms.

On the mobile side, Motorola Qira will be integrated into upcoming smartphones running Android 17, as well as the new moto watch ultra. The AI suite utilizes a multi-model approach, drawing from external engines such as Google, Microsoft, Meta, and Perplexity. Key features include advanced natural language search, the ability to summarize missed calls and messages from apps like WhatsApp and Telegram, and a ‘Memory’ function for saving and summarizing notes and images.

The ecosystem is also expanding to Lenovo PCs with at least 16GB of memory. Through a collaboration with Workato, the AI can connect to productivity tools like Gmail, Google Calendar, Slack, and Outlook to manage tasks and summarize communications. To ensure data security, the system prioritizes local processing and requires explicit user permissions.
