Lenovo Becomes Global Founding Partner of Esports World Cup 2026 in Paris

Lenovo and the Esports Foundation announced an expanded alliance, naming Lenovo the Global Founding Partner for the Esports World Cup 2026. The tournament will move to Paris for the first time, running from 6 July to 23 August 2026 and hosting more than 2,000 professional players, 200 teams and fans from over 100 countries, with a prize pool exceeding $75 million.

Lenovo will equip the event with its high‑performance Legion gaming hardware, including Legion Tower 7i and Tower 5i desktop PCs, Legion monitors and other devices across competition arenas, training zones, broadcast studios and fan‑experience festival areas. Mohammed Al Nimer, Chief Commercial Officer of the Esports Foundation, said the technology “matters as much as what happens on‑stage,” while Volker Düring, VP & GM of Gaming Business at Lenovo, expressed pride that Legion devices will power the world’s biggest esports competition.
