Lenovo cuts IdeaPad Slim 3i price as AI PC market gains traction

Lenovo announced a limited‑time price drop for its IdeaPad Slim 3i notebook on Amazon Brazil, lowering the cost to R$ 3,699 from the previous R$ 4,699. The 15.3‑inch model is equipped with an Intel Core i5‑13420H processor, 8 GB RAM, a 256 GB SSD and Intel UHD graphics, targeting students and remote‑work users who need solid productivity performance without premium pricing. The deal also includes an extra R$ 200 discount at checkout and up to ten interest‑free installments.

Separately, AMD highlighted the emergence of AI PCs that integrate a dedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) for offline artificial‑intelligence workloads. According to AMD Brazil sales manager Priscila Bianchi, AI PCs must meet a minimum of 40 TOPS, 16 GB RAM and 256 GB storage to qualify for Microsoft’s Copilot+ PC label. These machines can run AI‑enhanced Windows 11 applications such as Paint for image generation, provide up to 30 hours of battery life, and feature security technologies like AMD Memory Guard and Microsoft Pluton to protect against phishing and deep‑fake attacks. The market is expected to expand as consumers seek faster, more secure devices that reduce reliance on cloud connectivity.
