Lenovo develops rollable OLED ThinkBook and motorized laptops

Lenovo is advancing several hardware innovations, most notably a new concept codenamed ‘Project Swan’. This ThinkBook prototype features a rollable OLED display designed to expand horizontally, providing an ultrawide workspace for productivity tasks like video editing and multitasking without increasing the laptop's footprint when closed.

In addition to the Project Swan concept, Lenovo has confirmed the ThinkBook Plus G7 Auto Twist. This 14-inch laptop features a motorized hinge that automatically rotates the screen toward the user using facial recognition and can adjust angles based on sitting posture. It is expected to feature Intel ‘Panther Lake’ Core Ultra processors.

Furthermore, Lenovo has launched a notebook utilizing inkjet printing (IJP) technology for OLED panels. This manufacturing method aims to reduce production costs and material waste, potentially making high-quality OLED displays more accessible in the consumer market.
