Lenovo hardware upgrades and discounted RTX 5090 gaming PC

A user retrofitted an older 2015 Lenovo ThinkStation P710 workstation with an NVMe SSD using a low‑cost PCIe M.2 adapter. The adapter required an M‑key, PCIe 3.0‑compatible slot, and Linux recognized the drive without BIOS support, delivering roughly four times the read/write speed of the existing SATA SSD.

Lenovo also promoted a heavily discounted pre‑built gaming system, the Legion Tower 7i Gen 10, equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 9 285K CPU, an Nvidia RTX 5090 GPU, 64 GB DDR5‑5600 RAM and a 2 TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD. With a promotional code the U.S. price fell from $6,899.99 to $4,657.49 (≈£5,000 in the UK). The machine includes a 1200 W PSU, a 360 mm AIO cooler and standard components for future upgrades.
