Lenovo launches ThinkCentre Neo 50a Gen 6 AIO PC, affordable iMac alternative

Lenovo has introduced the ThinkCentre Neo 50a Gen 6 All‑in‑One desktop, equipped with Intel’s 13th‑generation Lunar Lake processors (Core Ultra 5 226V or Core Ultra 7 256V) and 16 GB of soldered DDR5 memory. The machines are offered with 24‑inch or 27‑inch Full‑HD IPS panels that support a 100 Hz refresh rate, 250 nits brightness and 99 % sRGB coverage. Storage options include PCIe Gen 4 SSDs up to 1 TB, and connectivity features Wi‑Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, USB‑C (10 Gbps), HDMI 2.1, HDMI 1.4, Ethernet and a 5‑MP webcam.

Pricing starts at about €1 140 for the 24‑inch model and €1 160 for the 27‑inch version in Germany and Austria, undercutting Apple’s iMac, which starts around €1 799. In the United States the 24‑inch version is priced at roughly €970, with the larger model around €1 060. Lenovo positions the Neo 50a as a cost‑effective Windows‑based alternative to Apple’s desktop offering, emphasizing the efficiency and AI capabilities of the Lunar Lake chips.

The launch is part of Lenovo’s broader strategy to adopt Intel’s latest chip generation across its desktop and laptop lines, aiming to capture price‑sensitive business and consumer segments in the competitive All‑in‑One market.
