Lenovo unveils first inkjet‑printed OLED laptop, the Legion R9000P
Lenovo has introduced the Legion R9000P gaming laptop, the first market device to feature a 16‑inch OLED screen produced by inkjet printing (IJP). The display, supplied by TCL's CSOT subsidiary, replaces the traditional vacuum‑evaporation process with precise inkjet deposition of organic materials, which Lenovo says cuts material waste, reduces manufacturing cost, and can improve brightness and lifespan.
The laptop combines a 240 Hz refresh rate, 99% DCI‑P3 colour coverage, 500 nits brightness, an AMD Ryzen 9 CPU and an Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU. It is priced at roughly $1,300 in China, highlighting the potential for high‑performance OLED panels to become more affordable in future products.
