Lenovo unveils high‑end ThinkCentre X workstation for US market

Lenovo is preparing to launch its new ThinkCentre X workstation desktop in the United States after first releasing it in the United Kingdom and other markets. The machine is built for AI workloads, professional content creation and demanding enterprise applications. It can be configured with up to 256 GB of DDR5‑6400 memory, Intel’s latest Core Ultra 9 processor, and dual NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB graphics cards, with an optional single RTX 5090 or AI Fusion Card for extra acceleration. Storage capacity reaches up to 14 TB via PCIe SSDs and 3.5‑inch hard drives, and connectivity includes Thunderbolt 4, dual Ethernet ports, Wi‑Fi 7 and multiple USB ports.

Pricing is positioned at the high end of workstation markets. The base UK configuration is listed at around £2,530 (about $3,370), while a fully specced model with a Core Ultra 9 vPro, 256 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD, 1,200 W power supply and dual RTX 5060 Ti GPUs is priced at £10,480 (approximately $13,960). US pricing has not yet been announced, but the model is targeted at developers, engineers, AI researchers and creative professionals who require substantial CPU, GPU and memory resources.
