Lenovo unveils IdeaPad Vibe laptop to compete with MacBook Neo
Lenovo has unveiled the IdeaPad Vibe, a new Windows 11 laptop designed to compete with Apple’s MacBook Neo. Announced at the Lenovo Innovation World during IFA 2026 in Berlin, the device is positioned as an affordable productivity option with greater hardware flexibility than its competitors.
The IdeaPad Vibe will be available in 14-inch and 15-inch models, featuring both IPS and OLED display options. In the US, the laptop starts at approximately $700, while the expected starting price in Europe is €799. A notable design feature is the collaboration with Pantone, offering seven distinct color options. Additionally, Lenovo is allowing users to customize their devices with interchangeable keycaps.
Hardware configurations will vary by processor. AMD Ryzen AI 400 models, which support up to 32GB of user-upgradeable memory, and Snapdragon X configurations, which support up to 24GB of RAM, are expected to arrive first in October and November. Intel-based versions are planned for a later release. While the entry-level model offers a competitive price, it comes with 8GB of RAM, which may be limited for heavy multitasking.
