Lenzing and Kaihara unveil REMOD denim collection
Lenzing Group has partnered with Japanese denim manufacturer Kaihara to debut the ‘REMOD Collection’ at Kingpins Amsterdam. The collection features denim products woven at Kaihara’s integrated production facility in Hiroshima Prefecture, utilizing three types of Tencel™ Lyocell fibers: Tencel™ Lyocell Standard, Tencel™ Lyocell – HV100, and Tencel™ Lyocell dtex 2.2.
The collection aims to combine traditional Japanese craftsmanship with enhanced texture and comfort. The product lineup includes heavy men’s jackets, medium-weight wide-leg and stretch jeans, and cotton-free casual shirt fabrics. The fibers are designed to mimic the characteristics of cotton and linen while offering improved drape and durability.
Additionally, Lenzing announced the third phase of its Tencel™ Lyocell – HV100 mill partner network. With the inclusion of Indian mills, the network has expanded to approximately 50 companies across 13 countries. These fibers are produced using a closed-loop process that achieves a solvent recovery rate of over 99.8% and reduces carbon footprint and water consumption by more than 50% compared to conventional lyocell.
