Leo Calaianov visits General López and discusses fishing ban enforcement

Provincial Deputy Leo Calaianov has conducted a series of visits across the General López region in Santa Fe, including San Gregorio, Diego de Alvear, Teodelina, and Venado Tuerto. His agenda focused on supporting the productive sector, local entrepreneurs, and community institutions. During these visits, Calaianov met with environmental groups, local businesses, and volunteer firefighters to discuss project development and institutional needs.

In a separate effort regarding environmental preservation, Calaianov met with Regional Prosecutor Mauricio Clavero to discuss strengthening controls for the pejerrey fishing ban. The provincial ban, which runs from September 1 to November 30, prohibits commercial fishing, collection, and transport of the species. For recreational fishing, the regulations allow activity only on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays after 11:00 AM, with a limit of 10 specimens per day per person. The goal is to coordinate efforts between the Ministry of Environment, the Regional Prosecutor's Office, the Los Pumas Rural Guard, and local governments to ensure compliance.
