Leo Messi’s ownership drives changes at CD Eldense

Leo Messi’s involvement in CD Eldense is driving significant changes for the Spanish club, impacting its professionalization, squad reinforcements, and global digital presence. Following Messi’s ownership acquisition, the club’s social media following grew from approximately 46,000 to 263,000 followers. The team, led by coach Javi Calleja, recently secured its first home victory of the season with a 4-1 win against Real Oviedo.

To lead this project, Pablo García Montañés has been appointed as the new president of CD Eldense. García Montañés is a financial executive with over two decades of experience at firms such as Deloitte, Andbank, and Bankinter. He serves as a link between Messi and the Spanish financial sector through Alfonso Nebot, the director of the private organization managing the footballer’s wealth. García Montañés previously held a position at UE Cornellà, another club acquired by Messi.
