Leo Nardini announces intention to run for Buenos Aires Governor
Leo Nardini, the current mayor of Malvinas Argentinas, has announced his intention to run as a pre-candidate for the governorship of Buenos Aires Province in the 2027 elections.
Nardini emphasized the need for a generational shift and a modernized provincial administration. He proposed a management style characterized by greater territorial presence and the building of political consensus. A central pillar of his platform includes strengthening the role of local governments within the provincial structure, aiming to bring provincial management closer to the 135 municipalities.
Currently serving his third term as mayor, Nardini cited his experience in municipal administration and previous provincial management as foundations for his candidacy. He noted that his local administration has focused on public works, health, and security, maintaining electoral support of over 60% in recent elections.
