Leo Rolly Carnando and Daniel Marthin prepare for 2026 Asian Games

Indonesian men's doubles badminton pair Leo Rolly Carnando and Daniel Marthin are preparing for the 2026 Asian Games in Nagoya, aiming to improve upon their performance at the Hangzhou 2022 games. The duo, often referred to as ‘The Babies’, intends to use their previous experiences—where the Indonesian men's team was eliminated in the quarterfinals and the pair lost in the individual competition—as lessons to perform with more courage in the upcoming tournament.

The Indonesian badminton contingent is currently undergoing an acclimatization program at the NTT Central Training Center in Chofu, Tokyo. The athletes report that the training environment is positive and helps build team cohesion. The pair expressed increased confidence following a recent victory over world number one South Korean pair Kim Won Ho and Seo Seung Jae at the China Masters.
