Leo Sparrow declined full-time WWE corporate role to pursue wrestling

Independent wrestler Leo Sparrow revealed that he turned down a full-time corporate position with WWE to pursue a professional wrestling career. After earning a degree in operations management, Sparrow initially sought a role in the business side of the industry and secured an internship with WWE’s community relations department.

Following delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, WWE recruiters approached Sparrow with an offer to bypass the internship program and join the company in a full-time office capacity. However, by that time, Sparrow had already completed six months of training at the Create A Pro Wrestling Academy. Choosing to ‘bet on himself,’ he declined the corporate security to focus on wrestling.

Sparrow shared these details during an appearance on the ‘Indie Spotlight’ segment of ‘Busted Open After Dark’ with Tommy Dreamer. Since choosing the ring over the office, Sparrow has appeared on both WWE RAW and AEW Rampage.
