Leolandia celebrates 55th anniversary

The Italian theme park Leolandia is celebrating its 55th anniversary. The park, which opened in 1971 as Minitalia in Capriate, originally featured 160 scaled reproductions of Italian monuments to combine culture with entertainment.

Leolandia President Giuseppe Ira noted that the park is experiencing a strong season with growing attendance compared to last year. The park underwent a major transformation starting in 2007 following the acquisition by the financial company Thorus, evolving from its Minitalia roots into the modern Leolandia.
