Leon Black’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein remain central to new biography

During a discussion at Manhattan’s 92nd Street Y regarding his new biography, ‘Money to Burn’, author William Cohan addressed the ongoing scrutiny surrounding Leon Black’s financial ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

Black, the co-founder of Apollo Global Management, reportedly paid Epstein millions of dollars during the financier's final years. When questioned about the specific nature of these payments, Cohan noted that while he knows what Black told him, the fact that Epstein is deceased makes it impossible to fully uncover the truth. Cohan described the situation as “complicated” and acknowledged the intense interest in the saga from the private equity and media communities.
