Leon Bridges releases fifth studio album ‘Happiness Anytime’

Texas-based soul and R&B singer Leon Bridges has released his fifth studio album, titled ‘Happiness Anytime’. The project marks a stylistic evolution for the Grammy winner, moving toward a sound characterized by warmth, light, and movement.

Bridges collaborated extensively with J. Lloyd-Watson and Lydia Kitto of the British soul collective Jungle. This partnership has infused the album with diverse global influences, including Afrobeat, Brazilian rhythms, disco, bossa nova, and dancehall. The production emphasizes extended grooves and rhythmic landscapes, allowing Bridges to use his vocals as a melodic instrument within the sonic structure.

The album was developed progressively through two EPs before being compiled into the full twelve-track release. Bridges described the project as a way to provide ‘lightness’ and a sense of lasting joy in response to the pressures of the modern world.
