Leon Bridges releases fifth studio album ‘Happiness Anytime’

Singer Leon Bridges has released his fifth studio album, titled ‘Happiness Anytime’, via Columbia Records. The 12-track project marks a musical evolution for the Grammy-winning artist, blending his traditional soul roots with a broader, groove-driven sound that incorporates influences from Afrobeat, reggae, disco, and Brazilian music.

The album was produced in collaboration with J Lloyd-Watson and Lydia Kitto of the British musical collective Jungle. To capture a sense of immediacy, the production team followed a strict rule of completing a definitive track by the end of each recording session, allowing them to finish six songs in just four days.

Designed to encourage physical movement and emotional liberation, the album includes tracks such as ‘Light the Way’, ‘Tears of Joy’, and ‘All Day, All Night’ featuring Lydia Kitto. It also features the ballad ‘Take My Hand’, recorded in a single take with bassist Pino Palladino and drummer Eric Harland.
